The Vincent G. Banks Center for Residential Substance Use Treatment (VGB) provides residential Levels III.1, III.3, and III.7 (Withdrawal Management) treatment in three locations throughout Baltimore City. Patients of VGB can expect a length of stay of up to 180 days, depending upon an ongoing utilization review of ASAM criteria. Like all David’s Loft treatment programs, VGB engages in evidence-based practice, including but not limited to Motivational Interviewing and Contingency Management Theory. Withdrawal management is provided to patients experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of withdrawal associated with opioids, alcohol, and benzodiazepines. All practices are based on the treatment protocols developed by the World Health Organization.
